An\u00a0<strong>affected person<\/strong>\u00a0is a person about whom we process personal data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Processing<\/strong>\u00a0includes\u00a0<em>any<\/em>\u00a0handling of personal data,\u00a0<em>regardless of<\/em>\u00a0the means and methods used, such as querying, comparing, adapting, archiving, retaining, extracting, disclosing, obtaining, recording, collecting, deleting, disclosing, organizing, storing, altering, distributing, linking, destroying, and using personal data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The\u00a0<strong>European Economic Area\u00a0(EEA)<\/strong>\u00a0includes the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Member_states_of_the_European_Union\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Member States of the European Union<\/a>\u00a0as well as the Principality of Liechtenstein, Iceland, and Norway. Legitimate interests include, in particular, our interest in conducting our activities and tasks in a sustainable, user-friendly, secure, and reliable manner, as well as being able to communicate about them, ensuring information security, protecting against misuse, enforcing our own legal claims, and complying with Swiss law.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR for the necessary processing of personal data to fulfill a legal obligation to which we are subject under the law of Member States in the European Economic Area (EEA).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR for the necessary processing of personal data to perform a task carried out in the public interest.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR for the processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Art. 6(1)(d) GDPR for the necessary processing of personal data to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"art-umfang-zweck\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3. Type, Scope, and Purpose<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We process those personal data that are\u00a0<em>necessary<\/em>\u00a0to permanently, user-friendly, securely, and reliably carry out our activities and operations. Such personal data can include categories of inventory and contact data, browser and device data, content data, meta or marginal data, usage data, location data, sales data, as well as contract and payment data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We process personal data for the\u00a0<em>duration<\/em>\u00a0necessary for the respective purpose(s) or as required by law. Personal data that is no longer required will be anonymized or deleted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We may have personal data processed\u00a0<em>by third parties<\/em>. We may process or transmit personal data in conjunction with third parties. These third parties are, in particular, specialized providers whose services we use. If processing is permissible for other legal reasons, we may forego obtaining consent. The necessary personal data arise, in particular, from the information requested, such as in the context of a job advertisement. Furthermore, we process personal data that applicants voluntarily provide or publish, especially as part of cover letters, resumes, and other application documents, as well as online profiles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"bewerbungen-dsgvo\" style=\"color: #000000;\">We process\u2014provided that the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is applicable\u2014personal data about applicants, in particular, in accordance with\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/steigerlegal.ch\/dsgvo\/dsgvo-9\/#2b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Article\u00a09(2)(b) GDPR<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"ausland\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5. Personal Data Abroad<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We process personal data\u00a0<em>generally<\/em>\u00a0in Switzerland and the European Economic Area (EEA). In exceptional cases, we can export personal data to countries without adequate or suitable data protection if the specific data protection requirements are met, such as the explicit consent of the affected individuals or a direct connection to the conclusion or execution of a contract. We may inform data subjects of any conditions that may need to be met for the exercise of their data protection claims. For example, we may fully or partially refuse to provide information, citing business secrets or the protection of other individuals. We may also fully or partially refuse to delete personal data, citing legal retention obligations, for example.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We may,\u00a0<em>exceptionally<\/em>, impose costs for the exercise of rights. Data Security<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We implement suitable technical and organizational measures to ensure data security appropriate to the respective risk. Website Usage<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"cookies\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8.1 Cookies<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We can use cookies. Permanent cookies have a specific storage duration. Cookies, in particular, allow a browser to be recognized on the next visit to our website, thus, for example, measuring the reach of our website.
